Banker Corner Monday Update: NFL, NBA, and World Series Insights
Hey folks, it's Monday, October 26, and I'm here with your Banker Corner update. I'm aiming to keep this short and sweet. We're gearing up to bring you the best content for the upcoming NFL and NBA seasons. Everybody's pumped for the NBA, but first, let's wrap up the MLB with the World Series. We've got Fast Eddie on board, and he's been on a tear with a 23-3 run in his last 26 baseball plays. He's ready to finish strong, so don't miss out on his big program this Monday.
NFL Weekend Recap and Monday Night Football
We've got your Monday night football covered, with picks from Billy Hill and yours truly. I'm looking forward to a great NFL finish, although I had a rough college weekend. But hey, like I always say, years ago my girlfriend (now my wife) would ask how my weekend went, and I'd tell her, "It's just a loan, I'll get it back with interest." And that's what happened this weekend — after a tough Saturday, I hit just about everything in sight on Sunday.
Nothing quite like my 14-0 NFL weekend from years ago, but we just had Billy go 13-0-1, which was something special. Our success comes from focusing on matchups and strengths versus weaknesses, avoiding the noise from the so-called experts. I've got guys who have been with us for over 38 years, and even their grandkids are joining us now. During the pandemic, we had hundreds of thousands of hits on our website, and I've always been about giving back, like giving away our play of the year for free on New Year's Day.
Weekend Highlights and Looking Ahead
This past weekend was tough on college plays, but we rebounded on Sunday. I had the Rams as a special play, and they delivered against Vegas. Seattle also came through with their strong defensive line. Now, we have a big play lined up for Monday night with Billy, Hank, and the Wise Brothers. Plus, Fast Eddie is handling the World Series, ready to keep his streak alive. Our NBA program is also kicking off.
A Quick Word on the State of Things
As I wrap up, I just want to say, let your kids know how important it is to vote. I'm not political, but I believe in doing things the right way. There's a lot of craziness out there, and it's up to us to ensure freedom isn't something we have to explain to our grandchildren. Ronald Reagan once said he didn't want to have to tell his grandkids what freedom was like. Let's not let that happen. I'll be back with more updates and stories. Until then, take care!
